Vella

Francis Vella;

Francis Vella is the Edmond V. Villani Chair of Economics at Georgetown University. He is also an International Research Associate at the Institute of Fiscal Studies and Research Fellow at IZA. His field of research is the development and application of microeconometric methods. These include the estimation of simultaneous equation models in semi and non parametric settings; the estimation of non linear panel data models with endogeneity and censoring; and the estimation of semi parametric quantile regression models. Professor Vella is an associate editor for the Journal of Economic Analysis and Economic Policy, the Journal of Econometric Methods and the Journal of Applied Econometrics.

Jonathan Wright;

Jonathan Wright is Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins University. In the past he has served as an economic advisor of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, and a Faculty Research Fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research. The majority of his research focuses on econometrics, empirical macroeconomics and empirical finance, but his interests span a wide range of topics, including forecasting in a data-rich environment, the high-frequency effects of news announcements, term structure analysis and the econometrics of weak identification. Professor Wright is co-editor of the Journal of Applied Econometrics and associate editor of the Journal of Monetary Economics.
